Stage One - Generating New Ideas
3. Light Bulb
People sometimes dream up ideas which haven't been thought of before. As George Bernard Shaw said:
"You see things and say; Why? But I dream things that never were and I say; Why not?"
The only limit is your imagination. Thinking freely and creatively can lead to your very own light bulb ideas and eureka moments.
'Making Innovation Work' - Example 5:
IiA funded the Tenantspin project in Liverpool. This is an internet TV channel for the High Rise Tenants Group in Liverpool which was supported by the Liverpool Housing Action Trust and now by the Foundation for Arts and Communications Technology.
The channel focuses on resident participation issues, giving information and providing debate on local and national issues through the internet.
As a result tenants are able to participate without necessarily leaving their house or area.

'Making Innovation Work' - Example 6:
IiA funded the stunt work project in Hounslow. This involved tapping into the adventurous, challenging nature of its youth by channelling their energy into stunt work and stage combat.
As a result anti-social behaviour reduced on the estate and the youth starting getting involved and obtained training and skills in various areas.
