Stage Three - Funding
How to Apply?
Making an application varies greatly between funding sources, however there are a number of common themes that appear. These are described in the next section; 'Writing a Proposal'.
There will generally be a deadline to submit an application. Once the application process is open, an applicant will generally be required to register their interest and request an application pack. This pack contains general guidance, a legal text, applicant requirements and an application form.
It is important to read the guidance notes and carry out some background research into the funding organisation. Do not simply complete the relevant documents. It is vital to ensure that details are provided of how a project will meet the aims and objectives of the funding organisation, not just those of the applicant.
